Who qualifies for the bursary?: Youth between the ages of 18 and 35
South African citizens from KwaZulu-Natal.
Academically deserving youth
First preference is youth studying in KZN then outside the province
The applicant and his/her parent or guardian must have limited means of paying for his/her studies.
When does the bursary get advertised?: The bursary is a discretionary bursary and therefore does not get advertised.
How does one apply?: An application form will be emailed to you for completion.
What allowances are provided?: Tuition, meals, living allowance, books, accommodation.
How can I know that I am successful?: A written response will be provided to you upon successful award of the bursary.
How long will it take to receive a response?: Approximately 1 month
Does the Office of the Premier in placing its bursary holders in jobs?: No assistance is provided for placement of jobs to bursary holders.
